Leisurely Legacy

Here at Arden Holiday Cottages we love Legacy games. Unfortunately we don’t often get the time or space to play them as often as we would like. Then we got to thinking…  wouldn’t it be great to be able to go on holiday and find a space to set up a Legacy game which we could leave out and play over our break?  We looked around and found nowhere to do this except one off events.  So we decided to create a place for people to come and play Legacy games without any distractions. Our space is a self catering holiday cottage which sleeps 5 . It has a big open plan ground floor with lots of space to set up a legacy game for the entirety of your stay without having to pack it away.

Just in case you didn’t know, a Legacy game is a game which carries on over a series of games. Every time you play it the decisions you make alter the way the game plays with access to new resources, rules or cards being introduced. The board usually changes as you add stickers or rip up cards or open secret missions. This genre really suits serious gamers who want to really have something to sink their teeth into which is continually evolving and adding new twists and turns to the game play. Once the game ends you then have a unique game which can still be played in a different way.

 

 Our favourite Legacy Game is Charterstones, but there are lots more to choose from such as; Risk Legacy, Betrayal Legacy, Scythe: The Rise of Fenris, Galaxy Defenders and Pandemic Season 1 / Season 2. Or why not choose one you’ve been dying to play but just not got round to yet! Let us know what  you would like to play during your stay and we can arrange it.

The price varies, depending on what time of year you choose to stay, and includes the legacy game to take away with you just in case you don’t manage to finish it!
